- The educational component is provided by San Antonio Independent School District
- The University of Health System - Detention Health Care Services provides all medical, dental, and mental health services
- The Medical Section has physical exam rooms, a dental lab, suicide prevention observation rooms, medical observation rooms, and a respiratory isolation room with around the clock availability
